Doula support that enables you to feel seen & supported from bump, to birth, to baby.

Hospitals are busy, and it’s easy to feel overlooked, I’m here to make sure that doesn’t happen. I’ll help you advocate for your choices, stay confident in the process, and feel fully supported every step of the way.

Your mind is racing with all these questions…

What if the doctors pressure me into interventions that I don't want during labor?

You’ve heard that sometimes hospitals treat new mothers more like checkboxes rather than women going through a life-changing experience. Making you feel unimportant, and like you don’t have a choice because doctors are seen as “always right.”

Who is right? I am not sure who to listen to.

The constant flow of well-meaning advice from friends, family, and even strangers is leaving you with a headache, feeling more lost than ever.

What if things don’t go according to plan?

You may feel anxious or uncertain about how birth will unfold. You’re wondering if your support team will fall apart the second things get “real”.

Does anybody even get me?

It feels like no one truly gets it. Your birth is really important to you but you are constantly hearing things like “all that matters is a healthy baby.” Your partner tries to help, your doctor appointments are too short to address your emotional needs, and family advice is overwhelming. You’re left navigating it all on your own.

There are so many decisions to make. Where do I even start?

As your doula, I will walk with you even when things don't go according to plan

When we work together, you’ll trust your ability to handle whatever comes your way, you’ll be able to surrender to the birth experience. You’ll feel in control, confident in your decisions, and ready for a birth experience that aligns with your values, knowing you have a trusted guide by your side every step of the way.

All the A's to your Q's

If I want or am open to an epidural, is a doula still for me?

Definitely yes. Even if you choose an epidural for pain relief, I still work with you to help labor progress via position changes and creating a calm environment. I can also help you feel confident about the timing of getting the epidural and help you advocate if any issues come up with it (because sometimes they don’t work as we’d like them to). No matter what you choose for pain relief, I will do everything I can to help you feel calm and heard throughout the process.

Regardless of the way your baby comes into the world, you are going through a life-transforming event and I will be by your side no matter what.

We will meet prenatally, and during those conversations, make a game plan for possible unexpected scenarios that could arise.

If a c-section is ultimately the way your baby will be born, I will continue to support you however you need- physically, emotionally, and informationally as allowed by hospital policy. For example, many hospitals do not allow doulas into the OR but I could be with you before and after if a c-section became necessary.

In the event of a planned c-section before labor begins, I will provide support in whatever way you need and is allowed by hospital policy. The details are something we can chat through in more detail via our discovery call and in prenatals to create a plan that you feel good about.

I also want to add that the presence of a doula has actually been statistically shown to reduce your chances of needing a c-section. While I can never promise a specific outcome, there are things you can do to prevent a c-section from becoming necessary.

If this is something you’re concerned about, please know that your family is the center of this experience and my support will always have that in mind no matter the type of birth you want, or you end up having.

Doula support includes meeting prenatally, support during your birth through the first couple of hours post-birth, and checking in on you postpartum. You can think of me as your birth bestie from the time of hire to provide resources, tips, and reassurance throughout your pregnancy and postpartum time. Please reach out via WhatsApp or e-mail, or setup a call so we can discuss the specifics of packages available!

If you want to work with your body and experience the full sensations of labor and birth, I would be honored to help you achieve that goal. We can work together to learn and practice coping techniques prenatally, and discuss the things that you think will help you cope with labor. During birth itself, I will be by your side to help you stay in your “labor flow”, providing support through different techniques including counter pressure, verbal affirmations, and position suggestions as needed.

When you hire a doula, you are assured that there will be at least one birth professional that you have built a relationship with before your birth. Consider that your doctor will likely not be spending much time with you during labor, and they may not be on call. Also, you will be meeting other medical staff such as nurses at the hospital for the first time, and it could be really comforting to have your doula there as a familiar face.

For those planning a homebirth, having an extra set of hands to provide physical + emotional comfort can be welcome as your midwife focuses on more clinical aspects of your care.

I love working with you as a couple in the way that is authentic to your needs.

If your husband wants to be involved, then the three of us can meet prenatally to discuss your goals and what you envision for your birth. He should join the prenatal meetings if possible. On the day of, you will have both of us there to support you. In addition, I am there to give him breaks and support as much as I am there to help you through the experience of birthing your baby.

If your husband wants to be less directly involved, that is perfectly okay, too! If you describe your husband as squeamish – he is in good company. We will create a plan prenatally that feels right for both of you. There is no one right way to do this!

This is for you if...
